The Honda is sold. 🙁 I really did like driving this car, but I just haven’t been using it. Travis will be the happy new owner. He seems like a great FIT for the car. He will pick it up Wednesday and make the purchase final.
Now for the metrofiets. One of the drive train pieces they had ordered didn’t fit right, so they had to order another part. I’m hoping it ships out end of next week. Here is a picture of the frame
Today I went to change to shorts and a t-shirt to ride home from Wilmington. When I got out from the bathroom it was pouring. I ended up waiting for the next train, taking that back to Newark, and then riding home the last bit in the rain. My shorts got wet, everything else stayed dry. One thing I learned about using the front bag with the brompton is that it blocks most of the rain that wets your shoes. It worked pretty well.
All the way home though I was thinking I should have just ridden in the rain. In hind site though I think I would have been miserable. I had a rain jacket, but my cotton shorts would have been soaked. And I was a bit cold after only 3 miles going home from the station.
Oh well. Next week will bring longer rides.
I just received word that my custom metrofiets should be shipping this week. NOT GOOD!!! Unfortunately I’m going to be going away soon and don’t want it to arrive while I’m gone. So I asked them to postpone shipping by a week. I can’t wait for Elie and I to take rides together.
Wow. June was a busy month. I was gone in the beginning and end of the month. We got our floors refinished and then lots of little things in between. Sorry for not posting, not that anyone actually reads this.

It was a bit sad yesterday when I created the page and posted it to UDel, but today I was ready when I posted to craigslist. No hesitation.
